We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, your main responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain our data infrastructure. You will work closely with various teams to ensure our data pipelines and systems are efficient and reliable, supporting our organisation’s data-driven initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from different sources.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and design effective data models.
- Build and optimise data infrastructure to support real-time and batch data processing.
- Monitor data pipelines, identify issues, and resolve them to ensure data quality.
- Implement data governance practices for data security and compliance.
- Collaborate with analysts to enable efficient data access and analysis.
- Stay updated with industry trends and propose innovative solutions for data infrastructure improvements.
- Document technical specifications and configurations for maintainable systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with knowledge of data engineering principles.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases.
- Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of data modelling concepts and tools.
- Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
